In Part One and Two of this series we discussed what to do before and during your dealership’s RV sales event. In this article, the Third and final article in the series, we are going to discuss what to do after the big event has ended to keep the excitement going a little longer.

After the Event:

After Event Specials – Just because the event is over it doesn’t mean the fun has to end too. Promote ‘after event’ specials for limited time only to attract the customers who could not make it to the big event. Doing this can help to get the procrastinators or customers that felt remorse after missing the event come in and check things out.

Make sure these after event specials are posted on all your social media profiles as well as emailed to past and current customers. There are always going to be those that could not make it to the event, do not like events, or had second thoughts after missing it. These after event specials make sure that they have the chance to get in on the action too.

High Points – Keep the excitement going by posting additional videos and pictures summing up the high points of the event. It’s also great to take videos of some of the background scenes that were happening – setting up, light-hearted moments before, during, and after the event, prepping the RV’s, and anything else that shows your followers who you are and what went on in connection to the event.

Be Polite And Say Thank You – Nothing can negate the excitement of a great RV sales event then not saying thank you to everyone who made the event successful. This list should include your customers, anyone who contributed their services or products to the event like DJ’s, anyone who donated food and drinks, massage therapists that gave free massages, any business that donated prizes, and your followers on social media for helping promote the event by liking, commenting, sharing, and stopping by.

Testimonials – As mentioned in the previous articles in this series, you should be collecting written and video testimonials from your customers who purchased RV’s and trailers from you during the event. Now is when you will starting posting those testimonials on social media and on your website. This builds your dealership’s reputation and helps to set you up as an expert in your field. People are more likely to purchase from you when they see other customers bragging about your products and services.

Do It Again – Start planning the next event. It’s never too soon to start thinking about and planning the next RV Sales event. Do it while the event is fresh in your mind as well as the minds of the people who contributed, donated, or attended. Now is the time to start asking these people if they would like to join you again to make an even better event next time.

When you start planning the next event right away all the details are fresh in your head and you can assess what worked really well, so you can do that again, and what didn’t work so well, so you avoid it next time. It’s also a great time to actually pick the date for the next event and write it on every calendar! When you plan things this way it guarantees it will get done and won’t get lost in the shuffle of day to day events. It also guarantees that the next event will be even better than the last one.

There you have it. A step-by-step, play-by-play plan to make sure that your next RV Sales Event is amazing and boosts your sales and reputation as an expert in your field. So what are you waiting for? Pick a date for your next event and start planning!
