In a recent article, it has been stated that RV-sharing is on an upswing. What is RV-sharing you ask? It’s just what it sounds like, people who own RVs renting them out to people who don’t want to or aren’t ready to buy their own. The question is, will this affect RV dealerships?

The answer is yes and no. Yes, it will because there are now rapidly growing RV-sharing sites that have this down to a tee. No, because if you’re smart enough your dealership can take advantage of this new market upswing by offering people the same things these RV-sharing sites are offering.

To do that you need to make sure that there are no hidden fees for the renters and that you rent RV’s that are just as luxurious as they would be if  the renter owned it. Never forget that sometimes people who are renting an RV are giving the lifestyle a test-drive and should they decide that lifestyle is for them they will come back and buy an RV from you. Your job is to make RVing as luxurious, comfortable, and easy as possible.
